In 2017, Citizens' Assembly (CA) opened Nefes Centre in Istanbul’s Fatih district to provide psychological, social, medical case management and referral support for migrants in Turkey. On April 17, 2019 MSF-supported project celebrated its second anniversary with 30 participants from 15 civil society organizations.

Thanks to local partnerships and strong network of non-governmental NGOs, today Nefes Centre continues to offer free services for the assistance and rehabilitation of migrants and refugees who have been subjected to torture or ill-treatment.

We would like to thank once again to Social Aid and Solidarity Association (ASAM), Médecins du Monde, Refugee Support Center (MUDEM), Caritas, International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), Human Resource Development Foundation (IKGV), Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration (ORAM), International Organization for Migration (IOM), Şefkat-Der, Support to Life (STL), Syrians for Truth and Justice (STJ), Sawaed, Syrian Special Needs Organization, and Hevi LGBTI for being with us on this very special day.

For more information on CA's Nefes Centre, please see the brochures in Turkish, English, Arabic, Farsi and French.
