MSF is advertising for the following position: Transport and Customs Officer
Requirements for the position
Education: Essential secondary education
Experience: Approximately 2 years-experience in transport related area
Languages: Essential fluent Turkish, good English, Desirable Arabic
Other: Position is temporary for at least 3 months with possible extension.
We seek a candidate who is willing and able to go to the border zones (Turkish citizen)
Place of work: Gaziantep
In accordance with MSF procedures and in collaboration with the Supply Coordinator Assistant and the Procurement Officer, ensure an efficient shipment of goods for the proper running of the mission.
Main responsibilities and tasks
In conjunction with the Supply Coordinator Assistant and Procurement Officer manages and plans the shipment of goods between the projects and/or from the capital to the projects choosing the best possible transport means.
• Responsible for the reception of international freight and its forwarding to the field. Is responsible for all customs and administrative related issues.
• Arrange the shipment of goods purchased locally and manages all related administration.
• Regularly assesse the market (companies, prices, services, delays, etc.), and proposes different third party providers for validation.
• Manage and oversee all border crossings of international and local cargos at assigned border points (as Öncüpınar or Cilvegözü).
